New linen services director appointed Loma Linda University Medical Center and Children’s Hospital administration announced the appointment of Bhushan Shelat, MBA, as the new director of environmental and linen services at the University and Children’s Hospitals.
Mr. Shelat comes to LLUMC from Scripps Green Hospital in San Diego with prior EVS leadership experience at Doctor’s Medical Center in Modesto, Suburban Medical Center in Paramount, and Western Medical Center in Santa Ana.
Mr. Shelat has demonstrated experience in successfully leading and managing support service departments, including training and education of staff, developing and managing budgets, establishing and monitoring productivity goals, and developing and leading teams. Additionally he was named manager of the year for 2003 and 2004.
Mr. Shelat received his master’s degree in business administration from American InterContinental University, Los Angeles, and his appointment is a result of a national search for this director-level position.
Mr. Shelat will lead the environmental/linen services department into a new organizational model for safety, compassion, experience, and efficiency.
