My primary interest is in studying the effect of psychobiological stressors on human health. Cancer and tratment for cancer are stressors that are not only psychological but also biological, and I am interested in how they affect stress and physiological responses in individuals affected. Past research included a study of neuro-immune responses to a relaxation intervention in patients undergoing chemotherapy.
Current research projects
I am currently conducting a small research project studying Chemotherapy-associated anxiety from the perspective of patients and nurses. It is a qualitative descriptive study. In addition, I am continuing a large study on Prostate Cancer: Acute and Extended Effects for Couples.
