The purpose of this award is to recognize members who spend a significant portion of their professional career involved in educating clinical nurses or nursing students and best demonstrates the values established by Sigma Theta Tau International. Gamma Alpha members may apply or may nominate another member. The nominator completes the bottom portion of the application form (to be completed before other documents are procured).
A certificate recognizing excellence as a nursing/patient/staff educator will be presented at the annual induction service and renewal of annual membership.
I. Eligibility for the award
A. Be an active member of Gamma Alpha Chapter of STTI
B. Be involved in the education of students or staff nurses
II. Application to include
A. One (1) copy of the application form

C. Two (2) letters of support from colleagues who evaluate teaching skills.
D. One (1) letter from someone in a supervisory capacity.
E. Third-party (peer or student) evaluations of teaching methods
F. Documentation of the following criteria (maximum 3 pages, double-spaced)
