Schedule will include plenary presentations and breakout sessions that address the
significance of the Institute of Medicine's report "The Future of Nursing" in the U.S. and the
Lancet's special commission report "Education of Health Professionals for a New Century", for
Adventist nursing practice, education, and administration globally.
This conference is designed for practicing nurses, clinical leaders,
nursing administrators, school of nursing leaders and nurse educators.
Continuing education (11) units will be available.

1. Discuss current challenges facing the nursing profession in the countries represented.
2. Consider the applicability of the IOM Report (October, 2012) on the future of nursing in
the United States to global contexts.
3. Debate the influence of the recommendations of the Global Commission on the Education
of Health Professionals for the 21st Century (Lancet, November 2010) on Adventist nursing
4. Identify the relevance of these recommendations to Adventist nursing globally.
5. Describe concepts, values and practices that make Adventist nursing unique.

Fee includes registration for the conference, accommodations, and meals for 4-days and 5-nights.
