Dr. Blomquist is Board certified in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases. She has been elected a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.
Her Medical School training at Loma Linda University Medical School was followed by an Internal Medicine Residency at Loma Linda University Medical Center and Infectious Disease Fellowship at UCLA-Harbor Medical Center. She has practiced General Infectious Diseases at Loma Linda University since 1987. She is an Associate Professor of Medicine, and interim Chief of the Division of Infectious Diseases. She is also an Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmacotherapy and Outcomes Science. Her Infectious Disease special interests include fungal infections and deep head and neck infections.
She has participate in Internal Medicine Resident education as Associate Program Director with responsibilities which included the International/Mission Elective, the Mentor Program, and Research Facilitator. She is the Infectious Diseases Clerkship and Elective Coordinator.
She has volunteered in India, Africa, Mexico, and her local church. She is the godmother to seven children. Her hobbies include gardening, cooking, reading, quilting, and wildflower photography.
