Dr. Blomquist is Board certified in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases. She was elected a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.
Her Medical School training at Loma Linda University Medical School was followed by an Internal Medicine Residency at Loma Linda University Medical Center and Infectious Disease Fellowship at UCLA-Harbor Medical Center. She has practiced General Infectious Diseases at Loma Linda University since 1987. She is an Associate Professor of Medicine, Interim Chief of the Division of Infectious Diseases, and Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmacotherapy and Outcomes Science. Her Infectious Disease special interests include fungal infections and deep head and neck infections.
She has participated in Internal Medicine Resident education as Associate Program Director with responsibilities which included the International/Mission Elective, the Mentor Program, and the Director of the Global Service Pathway. She is the Infectious Diseases Clerkship and Elective Coordinator, with a special skin in the teaching of clinical reasoning.
