Cheryl Simpson, Ph.D., is a tenured Professor of Counseling and Family Sciences and Licensed Educational Psychologist who joined the Loma Linda University faculty in 1980. She is currently Program Director for LLU's Master of Science in Counseling degree as well as the Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) program, and the Pupil Personnel Services Credential (PPS) program in School Counseling. She is also a credentialed school psychologist and school counselor.
Professional areas of service and expertise include 1) years of work with the Loma Linda University International Behavioral Health Trauma Team, 2) decades of psychological consulting to public and private schools, agencies, medical facilities, churches, families, and individuals, 3) serving as Head Elder of Loma Linda University Church of Seventh-day Adventists between 1997 and 2000 and co-chairing Search 2000, Associate Head Elder, Sanctuary Choir member for 17 years, and member of various committees.
