Darin Woolpert joined the CMSD Department at Loma Linda University in 2013. He is the Head of the clinical Doctorate in Speech-Language Pathology (SLPD) degree program. He teaches classes in child language development and child language disorders as well as supervising the school-age speech-language clinic for undergraduate students and the literacy research clinic for graduate students. In addition, Dr. Woolpert is currently a faculty advisor for the yearly speech-language pathology mission trip to China.
Dr. Woolpert received his Ph.D. from the Joint Doctoral Program for Language and Communicative Disorders at San Diego State University and the University of California, San Diego. His research interests include bilingualism, literacy, socio-economic status, and neural plasticity.
