Dr. Mamier has been working as full time faculty in the School of Nursing since 2009. Her teaching appointment is in the Graduate Programs where she teaches in MS, DNP, and PhD students. Her primary area of scholarship centers on spirituality and healthcare with specific interest in patients’ spiritual needs and nurse spiritual care. She is involved in collaborative research in this area and is a Research Associate to the Center for Spiritual Life & Wholeness at Loma Linda University. She also maintains a research interest in issues related to student retention in nursing education. Besides having been involved in two studies on informal caregiving, Iris has more recently extended her research interest into the area of research in Interprofessional Education (IPE). She is a member of the Center for Interprofessional Eduation Research at Loma Linda University.
