Reestablishment of the Zewditu Adventist Hospital - I took an early retirement from active surgical practice in July 2004 to work with the Ethiopian government, the Adventist Health International of Loma Linda University and the Adventist Health System (Florida) to negotiate the return of the Empress Zewditu Memorial Hospital to the Seventh Day Adventist Church. The hospital, located in the center of Addis Ababa, has the potential of becoming a major teaching and referral hospital for Eastern Africa. ( 7/2004 - Present )
