Patient Care    Patient Care
  • Attending Physician - I am the attending physician for an inpatient, general internal medicine, teaching service. Our teaching service is on call every fourth day and admits adult patients to the general medical floor and intensive care unit. I directly supervise the residents in the care of all patients on our service. Each day patient care rounds and teaching rounds are conducted in the morning and follow up patient care is conducted in the afternoon. I also chief an ambulatory care clinic (also a teaching service) one half day per week. ( 1/2006 - 12/2006 )
  • RCRMC Adult Medicine Clinic - The internal medicine clinic at Riverside County Regional Medical Center provides care to 2,000 patients each month. It provides care to adult citizens of Riverside County. Internal Medicine faculty supervise resident and student learners in small groups, as they learn the clinical skills of internal medicine. I teach one to two junior or senior medical students and a similar number of internal medicine residents at this afternoon clinic. ( 7/2004 - 6/2005 )
  • RCRMC Inpatient Medicine - The inpatient services admit 450 adult patients per month to intensive care units, step down units and basic wards. These patients represent a diverse range of ages, ethnic groups and have illnesses that represent all subspecialties of internal medicine. The care of these patients is organized around four teaching services made up of a faculty attending physician, a senior internal medicine resident, two junior residents and two to three medical students in either the third or fourth year. In the context of patient care, faculty provide instruction, feedback and evaluation on an ongoing basis. I served as a faculty attending physician for ten months this year. ( 7/2004 - 6/2005 )
