NIH-R18 Grant Application was written in a 7-month long grant writing workshop for junior faculty under the direction of Dr. Susanne Montgomery, School of Public Health. The proposed research investigates the effectiveness of using avatar microworlds for expertise training in medicine. The proposal was submitted to the Vice President of Patient Safety and Quality, Dr. James Pappas. I was awarded $5000 seed money to further pursue the R18 grant and submit to NIH at a future time.
