In addition to these educational responsibilities, I have worked quarter to half time doing surgical pathology, cytology and hematopathology, the later including the performance of bone marrow procedures.  Presently I am the Medical Director of the Microbiology Section and a Laboratory Director for the California Heart and Surgical Hospital. • Hematopathologist - Began career at Veterans Hospital in Loma Linda where Dr. Darryll Heustis and I built up the laboratory service for the opening of that hospital. In additon to cytology and general surgical pathology, I have specialized in blood diseases and lymphomas. ( 6/2005 - 7/1987 )
