Carried out from initiating proposal to a full academic year of activities the Border Issues Research Initiative (BIRI):  This was a $12,000 initiative that included training in qualitative methods research as well as carrying out research with faculty.  A total of 12 professors participating in the training and another 12 visited sporadically.  I headed a four professors research effort as PI with collaboration between two classes with a total of over 60 students involved in the research venture (2 graduate and 1 undergraduate classes involved).
