I gave a gripping reading of an early Adventist Christmas story at the inaugural Heritage Room Story Hour event for a group of 15 children with their parents, grandparents or guardians. Designed as an outreach program to the community and a way to disseminate information to that community about the Department of Special Collections and Archives, Branch Office of the Ellen G. White Estate and the history of Adventism and Loma Linda University and its mission, our first children's story hour was a resounding success.
