• Salvation Army Volunteer - Helped provide first aid to victims of brush fire which occurred in San Diego. ( 9/2004 )

• Co-host of Ask Your doctor Radio Show - A public service braodcast on health topics with Gina Mohr. It is aired by KFROG KTIE each week ( 7/2004 - Present )

  Committee Membership (LLU)

• ED OBS Reimbursement - Director of Observation Medicine and we have started a committee with the objective of decreasing denial rates for Observation Medicine patients. ( 6/2006 - 6/2007 )

• Flow Committee - Develop ways to help with INput throughput and output througout the hospital. We have helped to decrease the Left without being seen by 50%, have increased hospital census and improve patient perfomrance standards. ( 9/2005 - 12/2006 )

• PowerNote ED - We are forcused on documentation ie physician documentations and implementing a paper chart. We go live as of Oct. 2006 ( 2/2006 - 11/2006 )

• Compensation Committee - Created a template for Physician Incentive Based Reimbursement. Currently working with Legal, administration, and the Dean to fnialize process ( 11/2005 - 11/2006 )

• OBSERVATION Medicine Director - Develop and currently the Emergency Department Observation Unit. A short stay unit located next to ED ( 7/2004 - 7/2005 )
