With Honors
Bachelor of Medical Radiation Physics with focus on medical physics, radiation instrumentation, nuclear medicine, diagnostic imaging and radiation therapy.  Honors thesis completed entitled "Simulation of Dose from Primary and Secondary Particles in a Proton Therapy Beam using the GEANT4 Monte Carlo Toolkit.”  Within the framework of this project a complex Monte Carlo code was developed to investigate the importance of inelastic interactions and secondary particles on depth dose distributions from therapeutic proton beams within biologically important tissues.
PhD, 9/2007, Univ of Wollongong
This PhD in Physics culminated in a thesis entitled "Microdosimetry & Nanodosimetry with Protons & Heavy Ions for Space & Therapeutic Applications." This project focused on Monte Carlo simulations, detector development, and radiobiology for hadron therapy and radiation protection applications pertaining to space exploration.
