Doctor of Philosophy, University of Liverpool, United Kingdom Major Area: Surface Science (Physical Chemistry) Thesis: “Orientation and Crystallinity of Bifunctional Adsorbates” Adviser: Professor N. V. Richardson
- Structural characterization of co-adsorbed domains of nitrogen and benzoic acid on Cu{110} substrate. Characterization achieved using scanning tunneling microscopy (STM) and with an electron energy loss- low energy diffraction (ELS-LEED) spectrometer in collaboration with Prof. Dr. Henzler (Hannover, Germany).
- Determination of molecular orientation of bifunctional species using a combination of spectroscopic techniques including low energy electron diffraction (LEED), IR, high resolution electron energy loss spectroscopy (HREELS) and reflectance anisotropy spectroscopy (RAS). Performed dielectric modeling simulations.
