Duane Covrig teaches at Andrews University full-time in the Leadership and Educational Administration Department and parttime for School of Religion at LLU.
He has worked in higher education for over 15 years, having taught over 2,500 students at LLU, University of Akron, and Andrews University.
Before that he was a researcher at Loma Linda University and University of California Riverside, and a work/service director at Weimar College. He has k-12 teaching experience. He completed his PhD in 1999 at University of California, Riverside and is an expert the organizational history of Loma Linda University. He researches, writes and speaks on professional ethics, ethical decision-making, organizational theory and moral leadership. He has published in scholarly outlets like the Journal of Educational Administration, Journal of Leadership Studies, Professional Ethics, and Research on Christian Higher Education and also writes for the Adventist Review. He received the Paula Silver award for the best case in 2004 in the Journal of Cases in Educational Leadership.
His wife is a registered nurse and flutist. His daughters are into music, art and learning.
