Expert Advisor for Entry-level Doctor of Occupational Therapy Student, Belmont University January 2014-March 2014. The purpose of this project is to develop an educational module for a graduate level ACOTE-accredited occupational therapyprogram regarding occupational therapy and domestic violence. This educational module will focus on defining the role of occupational therapists when providing services to individuals or families who are currently experiencing or have experienced domestic violence. The module will include ways of identifying signs of domestic violence, the short term and long term effects of domestic violence on an individual, assessments and interventions that may be beneficial in treatment an individual who has experienced domestic violence, interview techniques, etc. |
