3/2005 - 6/2005 HPRO 567: Reproductive Health
Focus on issues of reproductive health of women and men within the context of public health policy, community-based planning, and ethical decision making. Examines public health interventions at various points of the reproductive life cycle, including pubertal, preconceptual, and menopausal. Explores issues that affect health and fertility, including sexually transmitted diseases; reproductive tract infections; sexual violence, such as rape, incest, and genital mutilation; sexual trafficking; and nutritional and lifestyle issues impacting directly on reproductive health.
1/2005 - 3/2005 GLBH 566: Primary Health Care Programs II
This is the second course. The focus of this class is the family and the cultural community surrounding the family.
1/2005 - 3/2005 HPRO 567: Reproductive Health

9/2004 - 12/2004 GLBH 564: Primary Health Care Programs I
This is the first course which introduces the MPH student to five key areas in the field of international health. The focus of this class is a sustainable environment. The five areas are taught as modules, each topical area is an intense two-week study. Learning involves lectures, group activities, and local field trips.
6/2004 - 7/2005 GLBH 545: Integrated Community Development
Epidemiology of major acute and chronic infectious diseases worldwide. Characteristics of host, agent, environment, immunity of individuals and populations. Methods of control and eradication; types of epidemics; and experimental, serological, and analytical techniques used in epidemiology of infectious disease. Prerequisite: EPDM 509 or consent of instructor.
6/2004 - 7/2005 INTH 518: Women in Development
Global epidemiological profile of women in terms of educational patterns, economic productivity, social status, and mortality patterns. Risks to physical and psychosocial health. National and international legal and regulatory issues and programs to promote access to health care, economic productivity, and the health of women.
