48 hours per month one to one and/or small group didactic instruction in principles of geriatric medicine. For each family practice resident in his/her second year of residency training (7 residents)

Long Term Care Geriatric Medicine Program
Weekly 2-hour small group rounds, clinical supervision of nursing home patients, and small group discussion of various topics concerning long term care. All second year residents (7) in the family practice residency program spend a half day every other month with this program; all third year residents (7)spend a half-day each month in this program.
