RCRMC Inpatient Medicine
The inpatient services admit 450 adult patients per month to intensive care units, step down units and basic wards. These patients represent a diverse range of ages, ethnic groups and have illnesses that represent all subspecialties of internal medicine. The care of these patients is organized around four teaching services made up of a faculty attending physician, a senior internal medicine resident, two junior residents and two to three medical students in either the third or fourth year. In the context of patient care, faculty provide instruction, feedback and evaluation on an ongoing basis. I serve as a faculty attending physician for six months this year.
