	7/2008 - 6/2009 Student Mentoring in research project.  Yamir Sevilla Perez and Justin Mercer (D3): "Comparing the Effectiveness of Dental Floss, Toothpick and Interproximal Brush in Removing Supragingival Interproximal Plaque"   9/2007 - Present IDP 845 General Clinic. Supervision of periodontal therapy that oru students are providing to their patients. Also a diagnosis and treatment plan is discussed with the student for each of the patients they are treating. Clinic supervision of IDP students. Helping the students in many periodontal tasks, including Diagnosis, treatment planning, consultations, scaling and root planning, periodontal surgeries and maintenances. 24 students. 9/2007 - Present Ultrasonic Instrumentation. This is a new activity designed to improve the development of periodontal instrumentation technique in a pre clinical setting. Since the students had no experience with ultrasonic instrumentation this 2 1/2 hour session gave to the students the necessary experience for performing ultrasonic instrumentation on a typodont especially designed for calculus removal. Students had the chance of removing calculus with ultrasonic and hand instruments as well as they noticed how easy was damaging the root surfaces of the teeth and the  gingiva in areas were a careful technique intrumentation was not applied. As a result of that they became more careful in their instrumentation technique, which made students better prepared for the clinic. 7/2007 - Present IDP 835 General Clinic Clinic supervision of IDP students. Sharpening technique using PDT guide is presented. 3/2007 - Present PERI 742 Essential periodontal THerapy Lab: Oral Hygiene instructions Due a change in the order that the Perio courses were given and the material taught in them a change in the content of this lecture was needed. A review of different oral hygiene technique was presented as well as interproximal devices for oral hygiene. This video is helping to the students to understand what is expected from them at the time they are treating patients in the clinic. It is showing probing form teeth #22 to # 27. The students have to read the probing depth and clinical attachment level.
