Students, residents and fellows participate, while rheumatology fellows regularly present a rheumatology patient of mutual interest to both specialties 7/2005 - Present Orthopedic Conference This one-hour monthly conference allows rheumatology and orthopedic attendings to discuss patients from the perspective of their own discipline. Students, residents and fellows participate, while rheumatology fellows regularly present a rheumatology patient of mutual interest to both specialties. Number of learners: 15-20 7/2005 - Present Research Conference This monthly coference allows for updates in ongoing research in the rheumatology division. Attendings, fellows and residents partcipate. 7/2004 - Present Basic Science Conference This one-hour monthly conference consists of a formal didactic lecture presented by a rheumatology fellow on a basic science subject of relevance to rheumatic disease. Number of learners: 3-6 7/2004 - Present Clinical Case Conference This one-hour weekly conference allows residents and fellows to discuss all aspects of a clinical case, including differential diagnosis, scientific basis of the indications and interpretations of diagnostic tests, and treatments of a particular diseases. The cases are selected for their diagnostic and therapeutic challenges. Number of learners: 3-6 7/2004 - Present Journal Club This one-hour weekly conference allows residents and fellow to critically review recent articles of interest with rheumatology attendings. The relevance and methods of an article are particularly scrutinized.
