	7/2004 - 6/2005 Teaching research strategies I serve as mentor for Naoko Nishida MD and have also taught informally many graduate students, post-docs and faculty. I collaborate particularly with pediatric faculty, including Drs. Hopper, Deming and Peverini. The hours are hard to estimate, but are probably several hundred. 1/2004 - 1/2008 Clinical and Basic Science Research Methods I currently monitor and teach with the assistance of Arlin B. Blood the research programs of the following four fellows and residents; Adam Owen, MD (Anesthesia fellow) Shilpa Verma MD (Anesthesia fellow) John Chalabi, MD George Conahey, MD (Pediatric fellow)

	1/2005 - 6/2005 Submission of patent application I and several other investigators have applied for a patent with LLU as one of the parent institutions. The patent is to use aerosolized sodium nitrite as therapy for a number of diseases. These include sickle cell disease, pulmonary and systemic hypertension, hemolytic anemias, and several others. A decision is pending as to whether the patent will be granted.
