Statistical methods presented relative to research design for health professionals, with introduction to SPSS statistical package for computer data analysis. Course provides discussion of philosophical approaches to scientific inquiry, range of research designs, roles of variables, and ethics.

OCTH 309: Human Occupation Across the Lifespan, 5 units
This course is team-taught to help students understand how occupation, embedded in a diverse social-cultural context, is shaped and changed throughout the lifespan. The concept of occupation, as it is defined in occupational therapy and occupational science, will be examined in its historical relationship to human adaptation and health. Delineation among cademic studies, theories, models, and frames of reference related to occupation are introduced and explored as potential foundations that influence occupational therapy.
