Lecture topics include stratified analysis including Mantel-Haenszel methods; confidence inerval limits around counts, proportions, RR, OR, and SMR (SIR); matching in case-control studies, including the effects of pairwise matching on statistical power and confounding; use of scientific calculator functions of STATCALC and EPITABLE modules of Epi Info; and relationships between sample size, statistical power and least significant relative effect measures.
