4/2006 - Present RXEE 562 - Pharmacist Guided-Self Care II
Pharmacist Guided Self-Care 2 is the third course in a sequence of courses designed to assist students with the development of both drug knowledge and skills required in the contemporary practice of pharmacy. The primary focus of this course will be to introduce the students to the use of non-prescription medications. Emphasis will be placed on patient assessment (including determination of appropriateness for self-care), pharmacology, product selection, self-administration techniques (as appropriate), patient counseling, and follow-up.

9/2005 - Present Family Medicine - Advance Pharmacy Practice Experience (APPE)
This is a general medicine clinical pharmacy practice experience in an ACUTE CARE, INPATIENT HOSPITAL setting. The student in this clinical experience work as an integral participant on one of the medicine teams here at the East Campus Hospital. Upon completion of the experience the student is expected to have a better understanding and increased competence in the diagnosis and pharmacological treatment of the many disease states encountered in internal medicine. It is also expected that the student will develop the skills necessary to efficiently and effectively apply and integrate information from pharmaceutical and medical sciences to direct patient care. Lastly, the student is expected to improve upon their skills in providing written and verbal communication to other health care professionals. I precept a total of 10 students per academic year (10-20 hours per week)
