9/2006 - 12/2006 AHCJ 326 Fundamentals of Health Care
Fundamentals of Health Care is a core course within several of the Allied Health Professions programs. This is a 2 unit course that meets once a week for the entire fall quarter. Students experience an array of instruction from various experts in the field of Allied Health Professions. Instruction includes: Patient Safety, Universal Precautions, Body Mechanics, Communications, Clinical Emergencies, Monitoring Lines and Devices, Patient assessment and Documentation.

Moral Leadership is a Post-Professional core course that is offered to the Bachelor of Science Radiation Sciences students. It is a 2 unit course that meets once a week in the spring quarter. Students are involved in interactive discussions, utilize educational learning tools such as the "Lifestyles Inventory Exam," the "Keirsey Temperament Sorter." In addition, lectures and some required reading are completed during the course.
3/2006 - 6/2006 RTMR 376 Mammography Prep Course
The Mammography Prep Course is a foundational course that prepares the student to sit for the California State Exam for Mammography. This is a 2 unit course that meets once a week for 2 hours. Students experience lectures from various experts in the field of Mammography, complete 3 mock board examinations, and participate in interactive discussion on pertinent issues in mammography. Some of the basic areas covered are Ultrasonography of the breast, Stereotactic core biopsy procedures, Pathophysiology, Anatomy & Physiology, patient positioning and care, Equipment and MQSA standards.
3/2006 - 6/2006 RTMR 377 Mammography Lab
The Mammography Lab allows the students a quarters length of time to apply clinically, the information from the Mammography prep course. A minimum of 30 mammograpy competencies are completed during this time.
1/2006 - 3/2006 AHCJ 308 Professional Communications
Professional Communications is a 2 unit course for Post-professional Bachelors degree candidates. The class meets once a week for two hours for the entire winter quarter. Students receive lectures on various issues in the area of proper, professional communications. Interactive roleplay and student-led presentations are also utilized.
1/2006 - 3/2006 RTCH 471 Applied Research Methods
Applied Research Methods is a core course for post-professional Bachelor of Radiation Science students. It is currently offered for 1 unit and is an arranged course. Students meet with advisor for topic selection, integration of materials and literature, methodology of project, and submitting for publication.
1/2006 - 3/2006 RTMR 321 Radiographic Film Critique
Radiographic Film Critique is a 1 unit course that is completed within the last quarter of the A.S. Radiography program. Class meets 2 hours per week for the entire winter quarter. This is a hybrid course which allows students to view images posted online, and then discuss the images in the open forum of class time. In addition, students present case studies for review and are tested on total quality image evaluation at the basic level of radiography.
Administrative Teaching Roles
 
1/2005 - Present Associate Chairperson for the Department of Radiation Technology (December 2008). Program Director for Bachelor of Science in Radiation Sciences (BSRS) (January 2005) and Masters of Science in Radiology Assistant Programs (MSRA) (January 2009).
I officially took over the role of Program Director in January of 2005, for the BSRS program.
