Screening for non-neuromusculoskeletal origins for the musculoskeletal complaints of patients who commonly seek rehabilitation. Emphasizes components of the history and physical examination that suggest medical pathology requiring referral and/or physician consultation. Review of peritoneum. Laboratory 3 hours of instruction.

Blood pressure determanation and aseptic techniques. Principles and utilization of posture and body mechanics. Selection and use of wheelchairs, ambulation aids, and other equipment. Progressive planning toward complete activities of daily living. Laboratory instructor 8 contact hours.
