My responsibilities include teaching in the labs for the Orthopedics I, II, and IV classes.  I lecture / demonstrate techniques during lab time and assist the students with tasks that they have learned during the breakout sessions.  I also assist the lead instructors in writing and grading the lab practicals, quizzes, and exams.  In 2008 I became the lead instructor for the Orthopedics III curriculum, responsible for lectures, labs and all exams.  I am also on a committee to develop the Policies and Procedures manual for the department of physical therapy.  I lecture in the orthopedic section and am currently working on projects for the post-professonal MPT program.

My job duties included work site evaluations on employees who are complaining of injuries, ergonomic and safety input into new work cells or safety programs, and assisting in coming up with new paradigms for the workplace that help maintain employee health, morale, and safety while improving production.

Director of Physical Therapy (May 1996)

At this facility I was responsible for the start up of the physical therapy department.  I was given a budget with which to order equipment and set up the treatment area.  I generated all of the forms that are being used in the physical therapy department.  I am involved with the ordering of all supplies and new equipment.  I currently treat patients and am in charge of the physical therapy employee’s scheduling of time off.  I am involved in the marketing of the clinic by doing work site evaluations, lectures, and job analysis.

My responsibilities include guest lecturing in the hip section of the Clinical Orthopedics class and teaching in the labs for the Orthopedics I, II, and III classes.  I lecture / demonstrate techniques during lab time and assist the students with tasks that they have learned during the breakout sessions.  I also assist the lead instructors in writing and grading the lab practicals, quizzes, and exams.  In 2001 I was given the rank of clinical faculty by the university.

I was a Per Diem registry physical therapist working in acute hospital, skilled nursing, and outpatient orthopedic settings.  I did this for weekend work or when I wanted to pick up an extra shift here or there.

Hired as a staff physical therapist and after one year began to coordinate the student and clinical instructor schedules.  Implemented an inventory and ordering system for supplies and equipment.  I assisted in designing, ordering equipment for and staffing a satellite clinic in Moreno Valley.  I helped plan and move the clinic to a new building when space became an issue.  I designed, ordered equipment and supplies for, and staffed another new physical therapy clinic and developed programs for post offer work capacity evaluations, back schools, and ergonomic assessments.
