The PGY1 Community Pharmacy program at Loma Linda University is in collaboration with Pacific Pharmacy Group. Pacific Pharmacy Group is comprised of five independent pharmacies and was founded to provide an opportunity for independent community pharmacists to join together, helping them to remain competitive and continue to provide the exemplary personal service their dedicated patients value and appreciate. Their family of pharmacies is dedicated to serving the healthcare needs in each of their communities. Pacific Pharmacy Group’s locations have successfully and faithfully served their communities for more than 165 combined years in their current locations.
The PGY1 Community Pharmacy program, in collaboration with Loma Linda University Medical Center, Pacific Pharmacy Group, and the Veterans Affairs Loma Linda Healthcare System, offers the resident a wide selection of core and elective rotations. With rotations such as compounding, long term care, behavioral medicine, HIV/AIDS, travel vaccinations and immunizations, medical supplies, business development and marketing, ambulatory care, as well as in class didactic training, this residency will provide the resident with an engaging and diverse year of experiences.
