LEAN CHOICES

Lean Choices is a 12 week lifestyle education group encounter which features informal discussions and goal setting activities. Our dietitian has a specialized visit with each participant to understand their specific needs and dietary challenges. Group meetings are held every Tuesday evening from 6:00 – 7:30pm.

Key Topics:

  1. Meal planning and preparing for holidays and social events.
  2. Creative exercises appropriate to the individual’s needs.
  3. Psychology of eating behaviors and stress management

Program materials include syllabus, recipes, and other printed information as needed.

The food plan is either a 1300-1500 calorie regular food plan or a 900-1000 calorie Medifast meal replacement system, with one “lean and green” regular meal. Expected weight loss is ½ - 2 pounds per week. Medifast weight loss is 2-3 pounds per week.

Two individual visits with a Preventive Medicine physician for disease management and consideration of pharmaceutical therapy if needed and medically approved.
