Albin Grohar, PhD, is the Executive Director for Advancement at Loma Linda University. Following undergraduate and master's level work in biology and the behavioral sciences, Dr. Grohar earned a PhD in educational administration at Andrews University. His dissertation was in the area of fund raising effectiveness.
Dr. Grohar oversees all fund raising activities for the University. He is part of a fund raising team that generates up to $28 million annually.
Dr. Grohar also implements and coordinates grantwriting as well as foundation and corporate relations activities for Loma Linda University and Loma Linda University Medical Center. His work in this area has generated close to $50 million in the past 15 years.
Prior to his fund raising functions in higher education, Dr. Grohar was program planning and evaluation director for Michigan Economics for Human Development, a private, state-wide human service agency in Michigan. It was there that his grantwriting activities began. Dr. Grohar's grantwriting efforts have facilitated close to $70 million in private and public grants.
