Program Overview

The Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with an emphasis in Health Care Administration (HADM) provides students with a thorough understanding of health care management and practical experience in applying what is learned in class. Graduates are prepared for administrative careers in health-service organizations such as: medical centers, hospitals, health plans, physician group practices, and long-term and managed-care settings.

The program is a 2-year program that includes a 800 Management Associate Practicum. The classes are taught in the evenings and the practicum begins the Winter quarter of the first year. Students work closely with the practicum coordinator to select a practicum site that meets their unique interests and skills.

Classes cover a broad range of topics such as human resource management, accounting, strategic planning, and many others; however, the special emphasis is put in each class to bring out a health care perspective. This is what gives the LLU MBA its unique appeal.
