Haiti Earthquake Response
Loma Linda University and the School of Public Health are actively supporting relief and aid efforts in Haiti. Teams from Loma Linda are working at Hopital Adventiste d'Haiti, a 70-bed Adventist Health International facility along with internally displaced population relief efforts in support of the Adventist Disaster and Relief Agency (ADRA)

The School of Public Health and Center for Public Health Preparedness activities in Haiti:
- Andrew Haglund, geoinformatics (GIS) expert, is an acting administrator at the hospital, coordinating logistics and supplies.
- The Center for Pubic Health Preparedness Public Health Disaster Assessment and Response Team (PHDART) arrived in Haiti on January 21 for a two-week rapid public health assessment and response deployment. The team operated out of Carrefour, the location of the Hopital Adventiste d'Haiti and the Haiti country office of the nonprofit Adventist Development and Relief Agency, working to afront a public health crisis in the nearby displaced persons camp, doing assessments that served as a baseline for the activities of local partner relief agencies, and coordinating between relief organizations.
