About Adventist Health Study-2

Happy peopleAHS-2 is the newest long-term study exploring the links between lifestyle, diet, and disease among Seventh-day Adventists in the US and Canada. Ninety seven thousand church members from more than 4,500 churches are participating.

Enrollment of participants started in 2002 and continued until December 2006. Each participant completed a comprehensive lifestyle/diet and health history questionnaire to enroll in the study. AHS-2 is funded by the U.S. National Cancer Institute. The study is conducted by researchers at the Loma Linda University School of Public Health in partnership with Oakwood College and the Seventh-day Adventist churches in the US and Canada.
