Message from the chair 

Welcome to Loma Linda University School of Public Health, Department of Health Promotion and Education where great things happen. It is a privilege and delight to have you join our active department with a highly professional faculty ready to serve you. If you are looking for community engagement, this is the place for you. If you are seeking more of an in-depth understanding of today’s health issues and their prevention, this is the department for you.

The department manages an MPH degree with two emphases, health education and maternal and child health. We also have two doctoral degrees majoring in Health Education and Preventive Care making us the largest department in the school. We invite you to take a few moments to acquaint yourself with our mission and goals for the department and with our faculty and their areas of interest in terms of teaching, research and publication. The department also maintains professional faculty advising and mentoring of its students.
