Greetings. My name is David Dyjack, and I'm the dean of the School of Public Health at Loma Linda University.
You might be asking yourself "Why is he recording a greeting at the University's Drayson Center?" which is our gymnasium.
"We want you to be a complete person
. . . to grow spiritually through your experience here at Loma Linda."
There's two good reasons for that. The first one is that I spend a lot of time here and I feel comfortable in this environment. The second, major reason, is that we understand at Loma Linda that going to graduate school involves not only exercising your mind, but your body and your spirit as well. That is the one unique aspect of Loma Linda that sets us apart from other schools of public health.
We want you to be a complete person. A person who understands academic public health, who is in shape physically as you leave, and has had an opportunity to grow spiritually through your experience here at Loma Linda.
We ask that you consider visiting us here at Loma Linda so that we can help you be the change that you want to make in this world.
