"Loma Linda University was a very drastic change from my undergraduate schooling. Coming from a UC school, with massive class sizes and an emphasis on research, I was looking for a setting where academics were put ahead of research and professors were available for interaction and mentorship. I noticed that this was prevalent when I visited the campus."
With most of Ahmad’s undergraduate work in the biological sciences was completed at UC Irvine and he originally applied for admission to the LLU Department of Epidemiology. Finding that the basic science of the nutrition department was a better match for his career goals, Ahmad quickly switched to the department of nutrition to pursue his masters in public health degree. He intends to pursue addition degrees in the health field, perhaps dentistry, upon completion of this MPH
"I would recommend that anyone interested in applying to LLU for a graduate level degree come to visit the campus. Interacting with the students and speaking with the professors will give a good idea if this is the path to their degree goals. My experience in the department of nutrition has been very positive. My peers have always been friendly and helpful. And the classes have been challenging, but helpful."
