The Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH) visited LLU October 26–28 to evaluate the school as part of a seven-year accreditation renewal. Of the 27 accreditation criteria, the school met 25 and partially met the remaining two. “On the balance, this is a favorable report. The council will meet in spring to determine the amount of years of accreditation our school will receive, and while we cannot make a prediction, history suggests our school will fare well. In the meantime, we remain committed to continue to improve all aspects of school operations, with emphasis on the two areas called out by the CEPH team,” says Tricia Penniecook, MD, MPH, associate dean for academic affairs.
