SPH celebrates seven year accreditation
The Council on Education for Public Health, the national accrediting body for Schools of Public Health, has awarded a seven-year accreditation--the maximum award term. A rigorous evaluation process, and application of stringent criteria, reflect a school's quality, and the diversity of its program. Academics, research and service are evaluated, as well as the intellectual climate, respect for creativity, innovation, diversity, collaboration, and multidisciplinary exchange.

LLU and Peace Corps expand partnership
A partnership between Loma Linda University and the US Peace Corps gives prospective public health students more options for choosing Peace Corps service instead of a traditional internship. Following completion of coursework at Loma Linda, students enter an intensive, three-month-long Peace Corps training program, then complete a two-year Peace Corps assignment to receive the MPH degree in environmental health. The recent agreement adds an environmental health option to the existing international health curriculum. [Top]
